Facebook Redesigned Navigation Bar for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iOS-7

On Wednesday, Facebook released its updated version of its mobile app for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iOS. The updated version includes a row of tabs to the bottom of the screen, among other iOS 7-centric design flourishes.

Product manager Michael Sharon said that the addition of tab is for improving user navigation through the app, which is already loaded with many features. The most important design change is that the app’s main navigation bar has been moved to the bottom of the screen, replacing the old navigation bar which was previously present on the top of screen. The new design also eradicates the tool bar that slid out from the left-hand side of the app in the old version. The update is live at Apple store and is also well-suited for iOS 6 and iOS 5 software.

He also added that Facebook will continue to test the iOS app and plans to update it regularly moving forward based on user feedback. The new design will have no effect on Facebook’s Android app, which it will continue to test separately.

On Wednesday, CEO of Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB), Mark Zuckerberg talked about immigration matters and said that 11 million people are a lot of people who are being treated unfairly right now.

In an AtlanticLive conference interview with Atlantic editor James Bennet at the Newseum in Washington, Zuckerberg said the purpose of Washington visit is not to talk about Facebook but immigration and other topics.

When he was questioned about Facebook ad business, he said that their policy is to show relevant ads than irrelevant ads. So they show fewer ads. He also added people consider that they are trying to be cool but in reality he is the least cool person there.

While talking about his personal politic believes, Zuckerberg said he never believes in Democrat or Republican, but he believes in pro-knowledge economy.
